I don't know if "unprepared" is the word to describe what I was tonight. I got maybe half an hour before showing up to the town meeting. I guess there were too many thoughts that popped into my head while everyone else was speaking. I wanted to mention something about posting a "non-emergency" contact number on every block, and coming up with an online poll on city issues that everyone could vote on and it would be passed on to city officials. Technology is beneficial. I spoke rapidly, just not rapidly enough. Racialism seems like a big issue, as well as other forms of ignorance, from all sides. Coming up with non-lethal defense maneuvers would also be a good thing. I also wanted to help alleviate the finger-pointing by acknowledging (?) that cops aren't super-human. Too many things, too little time. Let's hope it's not wasted.

Watch and be amazed

Rescue Me has to be one of the most incredible TV shows ever. Violence, drama, swearing, sex, comedy, suspense, Dennis Leary, it has it all. Big ups to April for introducing this creative masterpiece of a series to me. Big ups.

New CD's

After thinking about this for a few moments, I've come to realize that there really isn't any experience like listening to a CD for the first time. The anticipation before popping the disc in your player is not like first watching a flick or playing a video game. CD's repeat themselves for as long as you want depending on your opinion about them. Then there's the expectation factor. It seems like high expectations are rarely met. Then there are those albums that take you by surprise and you end up listening to them everyday for months.

No matter how much or how little you love yourself, there always seems to be someone who loves you more...and that alone is reason enough to love back.

It bugs me out how at the end of the credits to Bug's Life it states that the movie was filmed on location. Get it? Bugs me out?! I'm hilarious.

Extended Warranties

Fox News just aired some report on these warranties that they try to sell you at the checkout registers. I feel a great sense of satisfaction knowing that the truth is being put out there. Ten times out of eleven (or less!) it's not worth the effort listening to the suggestion of throwing away another 30% of the purchase price to maybe replace an item that will drop in price by 70% by the time you may have to get another one.

Waiting

Is it okay to wait? Should we take a more active role in searching for happiness in companionship or is it better to be more reserved and patient? Is putting yourself out there too risky or open? I've been told many a times that I'm too selective, or that my expectations are too high. But is that really bad if I expect others to expect the same? I wouldn't want someone to be with me because they feel they should settle for less. A lot of us are always waiting for something bigger and better. There's almost always something better. When does it become too much? I don't know if I believe in compromising, but I still keep believing - in dreams, wishes, fairytales - whatever you wanna call them. There are many reasons why I do that, and I refuse to stop doing so.

I can't help but believe that music (with the exception of love, and the opposite sex, and maybe a few other things) is the most wonderful (insert appropriate noun here) to exist. To pick a favorite is euphoric torture. To breathe a note entails a whole lot more.

Just got done watching "Enchanted". I've been waiting for that special someone to watch it with, and it turns out that that special someone is me. I'm not ashamed to say that this was a very enjoyable movie film with a lot of truth to it. I am so gonna enjoy my Disney trip.

Summer is almost upon us and I need to up my body's sexiness by at least 37 percent but I can't find that freakin' Wii Fit anywhere! Hopefully this means that I'll have plenty of opportunities to interact with a plethora of other super sexy bodies who also play video games. I'm looking at it half full, people!

Put some Chick-fil-A in your Sunday

So today I lost my McDonald's Southern Style Chicken Sandwich virginity at the Exeter/Mt. Penn/whatever the heck Mickey D's. Let me be very clear here: it is not a Chick-fil-A Chicken Sandwich. Buuut, it comes eerily close. Close enough to merit a second thought if you have a mega CFA craving and not even the coldest shower can calm you down. It's more or less the same concept and is also available in a breakfast biscuit. What will they think of next? Still waiting for that McDonuts idea I started floating around years ago.
